Delete Expired Debts

 

The Delete Expired Debts - is a clean-up tools to remove debts that are expired and no longer eligible for debt submission. This function removes debts that are no longer desired in the software. There are three options: delete all expired debts, expired debts $0.00 and expired debts < $50.00.

 

Frequency: This process can be executed as often as desired but is normally a year-end process in late December before the new tax year.

 

- only the Administrator can access the Tools function.

 

- removing debts that are expired keep the debt setoff system leaner by not having to view debts that will not be setoff again or for even the first time. Many of the reports will print these expired debts if they reside in the software.

 

- December is the ideal time to perform this function. It will reduce the chance of getting telephone calls from debtors the following tax season.

 

 

- this powerful option permanently removes these debts, they cannot be restored without restoring all debtors and debts.

4. Move the mouse over Delete Expired Debts and click this option:
